Growth does not happen only in a classroom or a workshop. Sometimes it begins with a shared challenge, a conversation that makes us think, or the encouragement of someone beside us.
For learners in our 10th Matibi Nook learning cycle, the psychosocial support (PSS) camp at Mafuramhepo Lakeside Resort offered space for all of this. Under the theme “Journey into Greatness”, five days and four nights became an opportunity to step beyond familiar surroundings, connect with one another and reflect on the future.

Teamwork, reflection and life skills
The camp programme combined team challenges with meaningful psychosocial support sessions. Activities such as rope-web challenges and tug of war encouraged communication, cooperation and collective problem-solving. Conversations about stress management, self-worth, mindfulness and healthy relationships created time for reflection alongside the action.
These experiences complement the practical skills learners develop at the Nook. Preparing for the future also means learning how to handle setbacks, ask for support, work with others and recognise our own strengths.
A journey we share
“Journey into Greatness” is a reminder that personal growth is not a single achievement. It develops through choices, challenges, relationships and the willingness to keep learning.
Thank you to the learners, facilitators and everyone who makes experiences like this possible. We invite you to watch the film and share in this chapter of the Matibi Nook journey.
