This project upgrades Matibi Nook's electrical system to safely support light industrial vocational training — including metal fabrication, bakery and culinary arts, hair and beauty, and other skills programs that rely on reliable electrical equipment.
The Problem
The current wiring at Matibi Nook was designed for basic use and cannot adequately support the increasing demand for power across the hub's growing range of training activities. Inadequate wiring risks overloading, power interruptions, and safety hazards that could harm learners and damage equipment.
What Will Be Installed
- •Heavy-duty electrical cables throughout the facility
- •Industrial sockets and switches at all work areas
- •Distribution boards and circuit protection systems
- •Dedicated power supply points for machinery in metal fabrication, kitchen, and beauty areas
Once complete, Matibi Nook will have a modern, safe electrical system capable of supporting all current and future training programs — enabling the hub to expand its skills offering and serve more young people.
