9th Cycle Outreach: Connecting with Ward 3 Youth

Bringing Opportunity to Local Communities

The Friends for Matibi outreach team embarked on a strategic field visit to expand access to vocational training through the 9th Nook Learning Cycle. This initiative represents our commitment to reaching youth where they are, breaking down barriers to skills development, and building pathways to economic empowerment.

Successful Community Engagement

During this comprehensive outreach campaign, our team:

  • Visited two community centers in Ward 3, establishing direct contact with local youth populations
  • Engaged with a large number of young people, sharing information about vocational training opportunities
  • Connected personally with potential learners, understanding their aspirations and challenges
  • Inspired youth through success stories from previous Nook Learning Cycles
  • Attracted significant interest from learners eager to join the program

Building Trust Through Face-to-Face Interaction

The outreach activities were highly productive, creating meaningful connections between the Friends for Matibi team and community youth. By meeting young people in their own neighborhoods, we demonstrated our commitment to accessibility and community-centered education.

These face-to-face engagements allowed us to:

  • Answer questions about the training programs directly
  • Address concerns and misconceptions about vocational education
  • Share detailed information about available courses and career pathways
  • Build relationships with community leaders and influencers
  • Create excitement about the transformative potential of skills training

Impact and Next Steps

The outreach campaign proved to be a fruitful and impactful experience. The enthusiastic response from Ward 3 youth demonstrates the strong demand for accessible vocational training in rural communities. Many young people expressed genuine interest in joining the 9th cycle, recognizing the opportunity to develop marketable skills and improve their economic prospects.

This successful outreach will directly contribute to the upcoming 9th Nook Learning Cycle enrollment, ensuring that motivated youth from across the community have the opportunity to participate in transformative skills development programs.
